W. G. (Glenn) Dale founded W. G. Dale Electric Co. in 1949,
in Laramie, Wyoming. Glenn joined forces with another electrical
contracting company later that year, but then moved his operation to
Cheyenne, Wyoming, in 1951. The company was incorporated in 1958. That
same year, W. G. Dale Electric Co. moved to its present location at 801
Logan Avenue.
From 1951 to 1960, W. G. Dale Electric Co. operated a retail
operation dealing in home appliances and lighting fixtures. In 1960, the
retail operation was discontinued in order to fully develop and concentrate
on commercial, institutional, government, highway, and airport electrical
construction in Cheyenne, Southeastern Wyoming, Western Nebraska, and
Northern Colorado.
In 1985, William G. Dale became president and chief
executive officer of the company.
In 1995, W. G. Dale Electric Co. established a service
department to provide ongoing electrical maintenance and support service for
customers.
In 2004, William G. Dale retired and Jim
Byre became President and Dale Treadway became Vice-President.
In 2011, Jim Byre retired and Dale Treadway became
President.
